Elizabeth had a good idea, imo, which she sent to me
off list in response to my remark about wanting people
to send Wish List requests with all correct
information and titles and authors,, so I don't have
to spend time researching books on Amazon, or putting
incorrect in on the wish List causing other people to
waste time looking for books.

E's suggestion is that I keep a double list. Below is
her suggestion, which I like. The only fly in the
ointment, E, which I forgot to mention when I wrote to
you, is that it won't work for books which seem to
have a correct title and correctly spelled author but
actually do not. Nevertheless, for requests that come
in with a title and only an author's last name, or
"all books in a series," or "all books by" a
particular author, that would work.

So I'm going to follow Elizabeth's suggestion and keep
a second list. If anyone wants to sign up to be an elf
and help track down what the requester wants, please
let me know offlist. smile

Here is what Elziabeth wrote.

"One list is the exact
name and title. That is the primary list. The
second is less than complete entries. Let's call that
"not ready for prime time alias the "hope list").

'The wish list you post to whereever you are posting
 that list.

The hope list you turn over to the elves.

Elves are recruited from among people interested in
 bookshare. They
assist Cindy with various tasks including checking
 data from the "hope list".

Books get upgraded to the wish list from the hope list
 when their
data is complete.
