Hi, You bring up a point which I hadn't entirely considered. I read that quite a few people couldn't find books to scan. This would be a good opportunity for them. They would not only get credits but they could keep the books. I did say that donations of used books were fine by me as long as I can find people to scan them. Maybe you could make a list of books that you're ready to get rid of and either people here could claim some of them to scan or I might find some of interest. You could send the extras to the Bookshare office. I haven't got email from Carrie in quite a long while but last I knew, the Bookshare staff is fairly busy scanning because many books are donated to them at any given time. This was my attempt to relieve some of the pressure from them and help out the scanning folks as well. Let the lists know of any books you're willing to part with. My sincere thanks to you for pointing this out. I thought I had this particular aspect (i.e. people with tons of books to scan already) covered but I guess I didn't address it clearly enough. I'll work more on that. To anyone else reading, I'm still looking for people to scan books and I'm happy to accept donations of books that people don't want to scan as long as they aren't already part of the Bookshare collection.
