Ever since Lissi said that reading and finding things were easier when the page
numbers are at the top of the page, I've been moving them there if they aren't
there already. Also, as you have assumed, someone said that having the page
numbers at the top of the page does protect chapter titles, so one doesn't have
to add anything--at least that's my remembrance.

It doesn't take but a second or two to delete the page number at the bottom of
the page, add a space, then a space and number and another space at the top of
the next page--at least when I'm working in word and reading the book anyway.
Sometimes, though, I get so engrossed in what I'm reading that I forget, or put
the same number twice, or if there isn't a page break, make one. That's why
when I've finished I do both a final spell-check, to catch things that maybe my
eyes missed, and a final page-number check. grn
