Thank you for that, Madeleine. Your last line "to get to know one another better"allows us to continue on the list, bearing in mind what you said about the fact that posts are not private and anyone can access them. If a person with medical problems chooses to post them(and many have in the past, and we offer support and/or prayers)bearing in mind your reminder about privacy, they are warned, and we, i.e., the rest of us, won't pass on information given to us privately. There are things I've been told privately, not medical or health issues that I've been asked not to share, and I've respected those requests. In fact, I think in one case, I've assumed an u plainspoken privacy request and not passed on information given to me offlist. actually, anything sent to me privately that I think without being told should not be shared, especially as regards health, or facts that I suspect some people on the list might not agree with, I do not post. My parents brought me to not discuss politics or religion outside the family, smile, and I keep those discussions off list, as well as other people's health problems unless they are first posted on the list. smile Cindy >________________________________ > From: Madeleine Linares <Madeleinel@xxxxxxxxxxxx> >To: "bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Sent: Wednesday, June 6, 2012 4:24 PM >Subject: [bksvol-discuss] More discussion list information! > >Hi, > >I copied and pasted these descriptions directly from the Freelists site: > >Bksvols-discuss: Bookshare.org's volunteer community uses this mailing list to >discuss their efforts to grow the collection of accessible books.
