I’d be grateful if anyone would reply off list, as this is, as the subject line
says, non-Bookshare related.
I need a small amount of help with a PDF document.
Most of the time, when I get a PDF file, I just run it through K1000 and I’ve
had very good results with that. I’ve recognize some rather large books with
almost perfect quality.
Now I’ve got this PDF with about a dozen pages or so that are not coming out
very well. If I could get a print version at reasonable cost, I’d just do that
and look at the problem pages with my Optacon. But I can’t do that with this
one. (I actually was able to do that with one file with a few troublesome pages
and found out that it was because the print contrast on those pages was very
different from most of the ones that came out well.) I don’t know whether that
is the case here or what.
I need assistance from someone who is comfortable opening and navigating PDF
files, and who has enough vision to read the screen and actually look at the
file.
I promise, it really won’t be a lot of pages! From the recognition statistics,
it looks like maybe a dozen or so, and even then, it might be just junk
characters and because the author appears to like little charts and tables that
might need some cleaning up.
Thanks very much in advance to anyone who is willing to assist, and please
remember to reply off list!
