Hi, Kristin,
If I'm understanding your questions correctly, I think the answer should be no
space before the ellipsis as in:
end of sentence..." or if the book adds a period after the ellipsis; end of
sentence...."
There is no space between the previous word and an ellipsis. If the ellipsis
is in the middle of sentence, there would be no space before the ellipsis but
there would be a space after the ellipsis as in: confusing... isn't it?

Hey there everyone!
Hopefully everyone is having a great day today! I am currently working on a
pretty lengthy book that has a ton of ellipses in it. Before this book can
be accepted into the collection, I need to fix all of the ellipses which is
no problem however I am confused by the instructions bookshare sent me in
order to correct it. The reason I am confused is because they are telling me
there should be no spaces between the periods which I understand. However
where I get confused is when the ellipses appear at an end of a sentence
with a quote behind it. Am I required to have a space before the ellipses or
should I be leaving it alone since it is at the end of a sentence? Also if
it is not at the end of a sentence, am I required to have the word in the
story then a space and than the ellipses ? Sorry for all of the questions
here but I only want to get this correct so I can get this very good novel
into the collection. Thanks for any assistance you guys can provide me and I
hope everyone is having a great day!
Thanks
Kristin
