Hello Lissi,

That is one we didn't do. It is interesting you mention roses and the cross
because these were and are symbols that come from the ancient alchemy
traditions.

I was raised catholic and always at Easter we did the special Easter basket
of food that we all got to help0 with by adding a special egg to. It also
had a lamb shaped butter in it. Then along with other breakfast foods it we
would bring it to church on Good Friday to be blessed and then it was eaten
for breakfast on Easter morning. I think that tradition came from eastern
Europe since my family was very Polish.

Dear Kaitlyn

Did your family put crosses made of raisins on cakes of butter and cream
cheese and place them on the Easter and Christmas tables? Making them was
always a favorite way for children to help prepare the feasts. It was a
custom a child could understand reminding us for the reason for the
celebrations.

Always With Love,

Lissi
