Hi you all, I got a challenge, and want to figure out why it is doing it. I mailed a file off to Officemax to be printed and then copied, and bound for me, is a joke book I have been working on now for a couple of years and I am donating several copies to GDB's Alumni Reunion. Anyway, the Print Document Senter guys, asked me why i didn't send a PDF, Which was a strange question. They claim my file had six less pages in it as well, and I got quite concerned about this. I sent the file as a MS Word file as that is what I am used to and thought those were universal. So I guess my question is. 1. Is my file safe? Did it make it to Officemax in the presentable format that I wanted or am I going to be really upset when i get the copies back on Thursday? 2. How do you, especially those of us who are blind make a PDF file? I do have Adobe, but it isn't the professional version or anything, and usually I am trying to uncrack PDF files not make them. 3. Is there really no stability to a MS word file, that it would shrink like that? 4. If they don't own Aphont, will the file still be printed in Aphont? It looks as though the next time I should just print off a copy here, no matter how long and tidious that may be so to make sure that I have the file I want. But I am wondering what is going on and how to fix this. Shelley L. Rhodes B.S. Ed, CTVI and Judson, guiding golden juddysbuddy@xxxxxxxxxxxx Guide Dogs For the Blind Inc.
