Hi, Natalie. The only time I run into this problem is if I'm not at the top of the Web page, and I don't really think that has anything to do with the laptop setup, but the only suggestion I would have is to make sure you're at the top of the page before trying your search. If you are and you still have that problem, then I don't know. <smile> Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: mercy0421 Please contact me if I may not recognize your contact info before adding me or I may not add you! Recently I bought a laptop and have been slowly adjusting to Jaws commands for it. However, I keep encountering a problem that baffles me and I'm hoping someone out there who uses Jaws on a laptop can assist me. As many might know, when on a website, control F will pop up the Jaws Find box. A lot of times I use this on websites that I go to a lot so I don't have to keep hitting page down a bazillion times. Anyway, while on my laptop the other week, I tried to use the Jaws Find and typed in a particular search string I knew I would find on the site. But all I got was that little ding and a message saying not found. But when searching the page manually, I found what I was looking for. Then, a few days later, I was doing it again, using the Jaws Find and it was working! Everything I search for came up, no littl dings with a not found message. However, this seems to alternate. Sometimes when I search, I find what I'm looking for, other times, nothing. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any type of setting I need to adjust? Because this is driving me crazy. Well, if anyone has encountered this problem and knows what I'm talking about, please hit me back. If not, oh well. Guess I'll just muddle it through myself. Lol Natalie B.
