It must not be that uncommon for authors to kill off their characters. It
reminds me of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, aside from the
examples in the article.
And I really wonder what makes certain books (like the Harry Potter
series) so wildly popular with all the fiction that gets written.
