Did the one you read about FDR tell about Churchill's habit of being
unclothed in his bedroom at night and that while he was staying in the
Lincoln bedroom he would sometimes visit FDR when he could not sleep
amd. yes, he would walk into FDR's bedroom naked without thinking that FDR
might not be alone - he had a separate bedroom than Eleanor but that does
not mean that she or someone else might not be sitting and talking with him.
Apparently it did not phase Churchill.

Does anyone know of a good biography on Churchill, preferably one that's
already on Bookshare? I know something about him in terms of his role in
history, but very little if anything about what kind of person he was.
Recently I read a book on F.D.R., and it was much more interesting than I
had anticipated. With the things I've been reading lately, it strikes me as
amazing that history could be made as boring as it was in school. <lol> I
don't like strings of events and dates and random names, but I like
exploring how events and ideas shape people--and vice versa--if any era. I
find this much more meaningful than the names and dates that were emphasized
in school, and I also remember it far better.
