Hi.
I use Open Book but I confess I don't know much about it.
I picked some settings and I stick with them; I don't change much when I scan
and I hate using it for editing. I prefer Word for that.
If you have questions, I'll help as best I can.
Christina

  Hi Wanda,

Sorry I'm late here. I don't have an answer to your initial question, since
I use Kurzweil 1000, not OpenBook, but failing that, you can opt to proofread
rather than scanning books and you can do that with lots of help here using
Word.

  Just another suggestion.

It's great to have you with us as a volunteer!

  Mayrie

Hello. I apologize if this email is redundant, but I'm not sure if my first
one went through. I would like to become an active volunteer, but I need more
info about using Openbook for proofing and scanning. I have MS Word,
Windoweyes and OB7. I saw a reference to the creation of an Openbook manual in
the list archive, but do not know where to find it. Bookshare has been an
oasis for this bookworm, and now that I have some time to volunteer I would
like to be an active contributor. Is there a step by step guide for OB?
Thanks so much.
  Wanda
