Hi, Cindy, no, there is no longer a paint smell. I still have to put away my
extensive amount of cassettes, but we're (a sister or sisters and I are
planning to go to Target so I can find trays or something that will hold my
loose cassettes in an organized fashion. One thing, we've discovered the
laminate flooring that we want throughout the house to cover and protect the
wooden floors in the house. It is a natural cherry color and looks good in
our house. The only thing that is eluding me is where to get new bedroom
furniture. I am in a small room and the furniture is in dark colors,
something I don't want given the dimension of my room. We weren't successful
finding the color or style of furniture I'd want. I want the bureau and
night stand to have a smooth surface, I want the edges and corners to either
be beveled or slightly rounded, the drawers to be deep enough, the handles
to be nice to hold but not too fancy, and of course lighter in color. I
don't want black furniture. The flooring will be put in about a month from
now when the guys my sister knows can do it. Next thing will be putting some
type of water resistant flooring in the bathrooms. My sister wants tile, but
I'm wondering if slate is good. I really don't know too much about
decorating or remodeling a house. That's all that's happening for now and I
realize that some well-meaning soul on this list will be bugged about this
off topic, but I figured you wanted to know, so me being a polite soul think
it only right to answer your questions. Regards, Kim.

Hi, folks, my room has been painted, any place a shelf could be placed on a
wall has been placed (they got it right so all my Braille books and CD
collection is stashed), and best of all, my connection problems (fingers
crossed and bated breath) have been solved. Some guys from the phone company
connected a data line from my sister's computer to mine. (they had to go
under the house and drill a hole through my floor so a wire could go
through.) The result is I could download stuff from the Bard site, I could
talk on Skype, and (whoopee!) go to my chat room sites and experienced no
connection problems. I know longer need my receiver. I'm in business. I can
finally chat with you all and am ready to do some serious (or
not-so-serious) proofreading. It's good to be back. Regards, Kim.
