Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Question For Anyone Using Both Openbook and K1000

Hi. I've hit a snag that I can't seem to move past. I know some of
you here have both Openbook and K1000 installed on your
computer. When I installed K1000 yesterday, Openbook would no longer
run and complained of errors in viavol.exe. I did a maintenance
repair of Openbook with no luck except that it insisted on installing
Connect Out Loud. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Has
anyone heard of a solution? If not, does anyone know of a program
that can read ark file format to convert it to something else? I
would like to be able to continue to validate books in Openbook
format, and I still have over 400 books of my own in Openbook format
that I didn't make time to convert to rtf. Thanks for any thoughts
anyone has to share.
