Just hit the return and you'll go to the next line,
leaving a blank line. In other words, after the page
break, hit return, thenput in the page numer, then hit
return again. Or if the page number is already there
right after the page break or, at the bottom, right
after the text, put the curser to the left of the page
number and hit return. That will move the page number
down one line and leave a blank space above it.
