Hi, Mickey. Your guess is right that you can still use the unpack tool for books on your hard drive. I really like the idea of switching to zip files when the new site comes out because zip files work on so many different kinds of computers and with lots of programs. I think it'll be easier for our new members, and I think we old-timers will come to like it better too. One thing that's cool about zips is that if you use a tool like Winzip, you can select several zip files and tell Winzip to extract them all at once into a folder. It'll prompt you for your Bookshare password. Other than that, it does the heavy lifting. Also, for those that use Kurzweil, Kurzweil will treat our downloaded zip files like folders. We don't even have to extract the files first. It just asks for the Bookshare password and opens the zip file. Openbook may do this as well. I haven't tried it. -- Monica Willyard Visit my blog at http://www.scannersguild.com To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
