Hi All,
I just read the thread about people being frustrated with smart quotes and
so forth, and while I completely understand, and a lot of you know I get
frustrated in not understanding how the tools and stripper work, I
definitely agree with all of those who said that we have a great bunch of
volunteers and those along with the staff do their best and I'm very
grateful for that because it adds so many books to this great collection.

What does this have to do with Daisy books? Well, in reading the thread, it
sounded as though people were viewing Daisy as being read by only those with
vision. I definitely may have misunderstood, but I, as a totally blind
Braille reader, choose Daisy if I'm going to listen with speech or if I want
some more navigation capabilities. The format works great on my BrailleNote
as well as on the readers such as the Book Currier and the Victor Stream.
Also, the Publisher Quality books are in Daisy format right now. When the
tools are upgraded and Daisy is used to its full potential, it can give a
lot of flexibility with navigation. Chapters can be marked as well as
subheadings and so forth.

Believe me, I'm not trying to revisit the original issue or even start
another thread on Daisy books, I just wanted to make sure that Daisy wasn't
viewed as a choice by only sighted readers.

Thanks for reading, and have a GREAT day.

Best Regards, (not worst, thanks Sue, <smile.)
