Regarding those extra pages that are often found in paperbacks, reviews or ads at the front and back, sometimes, those are printed in a different font, and the quality of that text is lousy. I would plead with people who submit books and with validators to delete that junk if its not readable, rather than leaving it in for the sake of so-called completeness. As Jesse said, that stuff is not part of the core text. You won't find any of it in the original hard cover, if there was one. There is nothing so discouraging as to start a book and be greeted with a lot of semi-readable junk that is not even related to the book you thought you downloaded. Its irritating enough when that stuff is readable; you still have to slog through it to get to what you wanted to read in the first place. but when its also garbled, well, like I said, I would ask that it be deleted before you send the book on its way for final approval by the admin.
