Do you enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee or tea and relaxing reading
authors such as Debbie Macomber, Julie Garwood, Victoria Holt, Lynn Austin,
Lisa Kleypas, Jo Beverley, Mary Jo Putney and/or others you may not yet be
familiar with? If so, we're sure you'll want to join us at the kickoff of
the Romance Book Club. Bring your suggestions of who your favorite romance
authors are and which type romance you prefer such as suspense, historical,
Regency, etc; we'll explore the genre and decide what book we'd like to read
together. We look forward to your joining us.
(Beginning in January, the club meetings will be held the second Friday of
each month .)
About the Leadership Team:
Grace Pires is a long-time member and volunteer of Bookshare.org. She loves
reading and is especially knowledgeable about the Romance genre.
Likewise, Susan Lumpkin has been a strong supporter of Bookshare.org, both
as a long-time member and volunteer. She has validated many books for the
Bookshare collection.
There are no membership requirements, no direct costs, no need to
pre-register, and no passwords required. All you need is a PC running
Windows 2000 or later, an Internet connection, a sound card, and speakers.
Since this is an audio conference, a microphone will be needed to allow you
to interact audibly with the presenter and each other. However, if you do
not have a microphone, text chat is also available. (Limited access is also
available for Macintosh users).
If you are a first-time user of the Accessible World online conferencing
software, there is a small, safe software program that you need to download
and then run. A link to the software is available on the entry screen of
each room...
