[bksvol-discuss] Re: Scanning and Whom the Gods

It's coming out Very badly and I think someone else has taken that project. I hope my copy is just substandard. I quit on it 200 pages in when I realized that inner margin problems effected one quarter of the pages.

Sorry.

Gary,

Is "Whom the Gods Would Destroy" what you're switching
from? Neither Judy nor I scan--we just validate. I'm
willing to validate what you scan if you submit it and
put Hold for Cindy on it. It will take a while,
though, since Judy isn't in any hurry and I have a few
other things to do first. I will do it before the huge
volumes I have downloaded, though.

However, if someone else wants to do a fresh scan of
it, please post here so Gary and I both know.

G.Cindy

If someone's doing them, let me know.

You might get a better put together copy than I did.
 It would have scanned
great except for those 20 footnotes and the inner
margins. I was getting
accuracy numbers which the footnotes threw Way off,
but, even with the
margins were 99.3 or so. The good pages were coming
in at 99.7 and up.
There was no way to get the stuff in the margin so
that the first character
on some pages on lots of lines wouldn't come out. I
found one paperback
from Canada for $3 and ordered it just to read the
book. My copy won't be
usable here. Looks like a great book.
