If you will read the group description at Free Lists it says that the list is for getting to know one another better as well as dealing with volunteer issues. Things are pretty loose on this list. However, the getting to know one another topics have at times gotten out of hand and a number of people have unsubscribed due to high list traffic. I don't think you will be reprimanded for being off topic for a while, but it would be good if you could use your discretion and not let it go too far. At least this off topic thread is more interesting than the favorite foods, celebrating holidays and so forth threads that have nearly taken over the list in the past.
