On the bright side, because of Marilyn's hard work, this is a very easy proof, and having run into some unexpected free time I expect I will have it done within the next couple of days, so you'll be getting the book soon anyway. As to holds, all you need to do, if you see that someone is currently scanning a book you want, is let them know you're interested, and when they finish with the scan, they will put, in your case, "hold for Peggy" before the title when submitting the book to the checkout queue.

This book sounds fascinating. I would like to proofread it as
soon as I finish the book I'm working on. How do I put a hold on it?

The art of embroidery uncannily links two fascinating women of
different eras and their equally passionate love stories In an
expensive London restaurant, Julia Lovat receives a gift that
will change her life. At first glance it is a book of
exquisite seventeenth-century embroidery patterns belonging to
a woman named Catherine Ann Tregenna. Yet in its margins are
the faintest diary entries; they reveal that "Cat" and others
were stolen from their Cornish church in 1625 by Muslim
pirates and taken on a brutal voyage to Morocco to be
auctioned off as slaves. Captivated by this dramatic
discovery, Julia sets off to North Africa to determine the
authenticity of the book and to uncover more of Cat's
mesmerizing story. There, in the company of a charismatic

exotic ruins, Julia will discover buried secrets. And in
Morocco---just as Cat did before her---she will lose her
heart. Set almost 400 years apart, the stories of these two
women converge in an extraordinary and haunting manner that
will make readers wonder---is history fated to repeat itself?
A literary mystery, historical adventure, and dual love

All page numbers, pages, and chapter headings have been
counted and formatted. Spell Check has been run and all
indicated words were checked against the print book. Write to
        mmbeagle@xxxxxxxxx <mailto:mmbeagle@xxxxxxxxx> with any
questions. *Note: *CATHERINE'S JOURNAL ENTRIES IN THIS BOOK are heavily
mangled English---on pages 1; 8; part of first paragraph on
        page 18, whole last paragraph on page 18; page 33; page 37;
        page 76; page 92; p. 125; p. 267; one sentence at the top of
page 299; page 346; page 370. Also, there is an Islam (?)
        chant on pages 141-142.

I have the book and can answer any and all questions. Good luck!
