At one time we had a similar problem with another website. The solution was to adjust internet explorer to accept that website as an exception. The security setting on Internet Explorer was set too high to allow connection with that website.I Can't find the instructions we followed to fix that problem.

Caching maybe? Just a wild guess. Maybe try turning on the option that says"Refresh the cache every time." Maybe Scott knows where that is ... Yet when I closed andopened IE, it still had the same old security dialogue. What could be goingon? Oh, and yes I remember to save my changes. I know cause I went back and checked. It is still turned off. BTW, I have IE v 6. Since it doesn't appear as though there is an option in the dialog asking if you'd like to disable the alert, I would try the following: 1. While in Internet Explorer, press alt+t to open the tools menu. 2. Press o to open the Internet Options dialog box. 3. Press control+tab until you get to the advanced page, or you can get there a bit more quickly by pressing control+shift+tab. 4. On the advanced page, press the letter w, until you hear: Warn ifchanging between secure and not secure mode-On. If you do in fact hear theword on, press the spacebar to turn this mode off. 5. Press enter to activate the ok button. 6. Close and reopen Internet Explorer, and try Bookshare. Caveat number one: I'm using IE version 7, so the process in a different version might vary somewhat.Caveat Number Two: Turning the setting off will apply to all websites, soif there is a situation where you must hear the warning, the method I've described might not be ideal. Here it is. Security Alert You are about to be redirected to a connection that is not secure. The information you are sending to the current site might be retransmitted to a nonsecure site. Do you wish to continue? Yes No Looking forward to your response. I'd like to see the dialog box, exactly asyou do. If you try logging into Bookshare, when the dialog appears, do the following: 1. Press control+insert+w. This "virtualizes" the window, allowing you to select and copy text. 2. Press control+A to select all text in the window, then press control+c to copy it to the clipboard. 3. Press escape to close the virtualized window, and either close the dialog, or continue on into Bookshare.4. Send a message to this list, and press control+v in the message body. The contents of the dialog should appear there, and hopefully someone here can get a fix on the solution. I also already had http:// in my list. I added theaddress that started with https because I didn't have that one. Isaved my changes and logged into Bookshare and it still had the trustedsites dialogue as always. Not sure why this didn't work. Any suggestions? To do that, go to tools > options in your browser or control panelinternet options;ctrl tab to security; right arrow to trusted zone, then tab to the sites button & activate w/enter/spacebar;Tab to & uncheck the box that says require server verification (https)for all sites in this zone; add your sites, pressing the add button after each. Press ok when you're done as many times as it takes to close the sucker out. That's it. Let me know if that helped (or not).
