Hi. Thanks for your suggestion and I know that in most cases that would work, but not in my case. I have Kurzweil but I rarely use it because it is very, very crash-prone. Instead, I have resorted to using the Microsoft Word spell checker which has no easy way to make automated corrections. I have a change program for DOS which will make a series of changes automatically like you outlined, but that only works for plain text. Thanks anyway though.
