I've just uploaded for administrator approval the
above-entitled book. Anastasia scanned and wrote in
illustration descriptions and she did an excellent job
with one of the most difficult picture books I've
encountered. The series is a wonderful way to teach
children and parents and I wish my children were young
again so I could buy the set for them and we could
both learn a lot.
Which reminds me of a series of art books for
children, of which I did buy many. I'll have to check
for exact information. Checking on Amazon, I think the
series is by Ernest Raboff, Art for Children The books
would be for elementary-school age. They are
biographies of different painters with discussion, in
simple language, of their styles and periods. Examples
of their paintings are included, but I wouldn't expect
anyone to attempt to describe a painting--maybe just
give a title and say, for example, that it's from
Picasso's blue period (until I read the book I didn't
realize he ad blue and pink periods. smile)
