I just want to register my agreement here. I've been using SA to Go with the Winamp library for months now, because neither of the "major", that is, more expensive, screen readers, can do the job. Both Window Eyes and JAWS have gotten better with recent upgrades. I've experienced firsthand that Window Eyes is somewhat better, and I've heard on another list that JAWS 10 has improved. But Window Eyes is still not equal to System Access to Go in this regard, and I would bet that JAWS is not either, since the poster said that it works better but you still need "some tricks" to use some parts of the library.

So at least three cheers for System Access! This feature of being able to upload to Bookshare without "all that gumbus", is another feather in their cap.

I was talking about this exact subject on Saturday with Mike Calvo, Serotek CEo. He's very excited about getting lots of content sites like BSO working seemlessly with the closest thing we now have to a no cost , universal screen reader.

While it does come with a fee (you can get a month or something like that at no cost) , I would recommend checking out the Serotek System Access Mobile Network for excellent content to DVS movies and other really cool audio content. IF you have a Stream, SAMN will even do things for you like automatically update your firmware if it detects you are out of date.

System Access, the screen reader, is fully featured and does nearly as much as JAWS but with far fewer bugs and sluggish situations. If you haven't already, go to www.satogo.com and enjoy running it for free as often as you like.

Hi all,

I am happy to report that one can now upload a book to Bookshare using System Access! The Browse Button is now visible and works correctly! Yay, halleluia!! Now, you don't have to go into forms mode and jocky with all that gumbus! I'm so tickled I can't tell you. Three cheers for Matt Campbell and System Access!
