The original version had several proper name issues: Maiden for Malden, Tarn for Tam, and worst of all Hyena for Ilyena, among others that I can't recall a year later. Overall, it was a very good scan. My guess is that, for Malden and Ilyena, and maybe others, someone who didn't read the book may have been a bit overly enthusiastic in making corrections with the spell checker.
Gotta say, though, that after I reported on it and it was replaced, I checked it out; and while I didn't read the book again, I spot checked the issues I reported on and they were all fixed.. I've encouraged people to send in quality reports here on the list before because the evidence indicates that they are taken seriously and acted on.

I don't remember the book having a quality issue. Although that might have been after you submitted it. lol -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Evan Reese Sent: Wednesday, November 10, 2010 10:59 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Towers of midnight by brandon sanderson Hmmm, as I remember it, it took something like four weeks after TheGathering Storm was released for it to be added to Bookshare. I can't checkon that now because the original version was replaced on March 3, after I submitted a quality report. I forget exactly where to find the current NYT bestseller list, so I just googled around using key words like the title ofthe book combined with phrases like "new york times book review" and words like bestseller and found scads of sites enthusiastically proclaiming thatTowers of midnight is on the list. I think that means that you can forget about scanning it or proofreading it. Just check the collection every day and it should show up there any day now. _ _ _ "Capitalism is war; socialism is peace." - Karl Liebnecht The Militant: http://www.themilitant.com Pathfinder Press: http://www.pathfinderpress.com Granma International: http://www.granma.cu/ingles/index.html----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Loran Bailey" <rogerbailey81@xxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 2010 9:20 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Towers of midnight by brandon sandersonI notice that it has a current Amazon sales rank of nine. That makes itvery likely to become a NYT bestseller. Since other titles in the Wheel of Time series have made it to the NYT bestseller list I would expect that itis extremely likely that this one should too. That means that it should notbe long until it enters the collection with no action being necessary on the part of volunteers. _ _ _ "Capitalism is war; socialism is peace." - Karl Liebnecht The Militant: http://www.themilitant.com Pathfinder Press: http://www.pathfinderpress.com Granma International: http://www.granma.cu/ingles/index.html----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann Petrous" <annpetrous@xxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 2010 4:26 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Towers of midnight by brandon sandersonOh booo on you lol I can't wait to read it.
