[bksvol-discuss] Validating children's picture books

Depending on the comlexity of the picture and the
detail with which the person wants to describe it,
children's books can take a long time. Personally, I'm
delighted that Jamie and some of you others are happy
to do them. And if a sighted submitter, specifically
me, does describe the pictures, I think the validator
needs to read the descriptions carefully and be sure
that the explanations are understandable and complete
enough--r perhaps too complete. Sometimes, I've
found--my experience with The Man Who Walked between
the towers is an example--I assume a familiarity with
what something is or looks like that a blind person
doesn't have.
