Bookshare doesn't do anything with it. It's for the convenience of list 
readers who may want to filter their email so as not to get off-topic 
messages. It cuts down on traffic for busy people who get a lot of email.

  I just read Sue's message.  What exactly does Bookshare do with the O.T.? 
Do they use this distinguishing technique for research or accountability 
purposes?  Whether a topic is off-topic or not, it still gets discussed 
here, so I wonder what the O.T. actually does.
