Cindy,

The Munk series is just as enjoyable as the Pitt series. I have read almost all of both series.

I have also found great pleasure in reading Anne Perry's WW II series as well.

Anne Perry also has another series which the first of is Tathea. My wife is working on scanning Tathea while also scanning the Boy Scout meritbadge pamphlets.

That is my wife, she jumps in with both feet whenever she decides to take anything on. ;-))

I hope you enjoy Annne Perry books as much as I do.

On a slightly side note I heard Anne Perry on an interview with our local NPR station about 2 years ago. She sounds like an British Grandma. Sort of like Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Potts in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Similar but not quite the same. ;-)) I know I probably got the spelling wrong on Angela Lansbury's name.

Me, too. I'm reading Resurrrection Row now. It helps
so much to read the series in order because characters
from earlier books appear in later ones.

Perry has written another series with the protagonist
William Monk, who is either a private investigator or
a Thames River policeman--or was first one and then
the other (from reading annotations in my library
catalog), also set in 19th century England. I checked
our collection and we have a few of those, but I
haven't read any yet. Jim, I see you submitted or
validated them. Are they as enjoyable as the Thomas
and Charlotte Pitt mysteries? For those of you who like
mysteries, these aren't scary but are fun and have
satirical humor much like Jane Austen's books.

Cindy R

I enjoy reading books in order, so that is why I
like to have the whole
set before I start reading the series.
