Melissa is correct.

ISBNs are for publisher inventory tracking, so a new one is issued for every
manifestation of the item: library binding, soft cover, large print, Kindle
version, ePub, etc. Bookshare has the ISBN for the manifestation scanned into
the system. When the publisher version comes in, the ePub ISBN will also show
up here.

As a matter of fact, I use GoodReads.com and when I add a book to my bookshelf
there I want to add the exact edition I am reading. There was at least one
publisher quality book from Bookshare that I searched for there with the ISBN
and could not find it. Finally, I searched by title and author and browsed the
results for an edition that most closely matched the one I had. It turned out
that I found one that did have a matching ISBN. I don't know why it did not
turn up when I searched by ISBN. It was identified in its entry as the Kindle
edition.
