I've always wondered why Bookshare didn't use a different flag for
separating authors instead of a comma. This goes back to the beta test
days, when it was pointed out that breaking down multiple authors by a
comma results in authors such as Phd., Jr., II, etc. It wouldn't be hard
to use a semi-colon, or |, or something such as a ^, at least from the
software perspective. It would probably however, be much more difficult to
get submitters and editors to adopt the methodology.
