I am releasing this book. I cannot get it to upload. Peter from bookshare
thinks it is because I edited it on a braillenote. My bn has never touched
it. It seems complete. Someone else please give it a try.

This discussion, and Elizabeth thanks for saying what you say as at times this is needed, reminds me of the notion that a book one scans for themself may not necessarily make for a good BookShare collection addition. I am sure that for Adrienne's reading purposes, they work fine and similarily for her preparing course work. Of course, she has the advantage of not only likely having the print book at hand to clear up confusion dowwn the road but a vast familiarity with the subjects discussed which clear up confusion to boot. I've been scanning for only about a year, but I've already discovered that either some books don't scan well enough for others to read or that I, for some books, just don't have the time or ability to do them justice so that others can gain value from them. Our home may look presentable enough for my wife, I, and our 17-year old to live in, but it ain't gonna be featured on Martha Stewart or in Good Housekeeping even if they had a fair category. Of course, category quality labels are arbitrary and what may be excellent to someone may be unacceptible to another. And, since both volunteer and administrative resources are limited and that spending time on one book takes time that could be devoted to something else, tough choices have to be made.
