Those two Ls in travelling are more antiquated than specifically British. In American writing older than about forty years you will see a lot of that too. It was pretty much standard that when a word ended in a consonant the consanant was doubled when an ing was added. Apparently the American practice of doing that faded away in recent decades but the British kept on doing it.

I wasn't sure about rebuilt. You know how sometimes you see travelling with
two l's and sometimes you see it traveling with one l.

and they spell recognize with an s like recognise.
