Hi Lori,

The Bookshare tools will get rid of those blank lines at the bottoms
of pages. If you're the validator, you don't need to do anything about
them. They will disappear in the final copy in the collection. I get rid
of them as a submitter so that validators won't have to deal with them. I
get rid of all groups in one fell swoop, which doesn't take long. But it
isn't really necessary to get rid of the groups of blank lines, because the
bookshare tools will take them out in the end.

        Mayrie

Do the tools also get rid of multiple lines at the bottom of pages? In a
book I am now scanning, each page has about six or seven blank lines at the
bottom of each page; I have been removing them and leaving only the return
at the end of the line and one blank line. Is this step necessary; doing so

makes me feel like I'm getting the book in great shape, but is it just extra

work?

Thanks.
