Smile, it the grant applies to students under the age of 26, so definitely
college age, or who have a IEP or Section 504 plan which most college students
have if they are registered with their Disability Students office, or are
students of the Hadley School for the Blind, which is well anyone of any age,
smile.

Reading a book is like rewriting it for yourself. You bring to a novel,

you read it in your own terms. -Angela Carter, novelist and journalist

Not to be a pessimist, but I thought the free student memberships Kenny is
taking about were confined to students covered by the DOE grant. Are there
monies for disabled college students as well? I know people on other
disability/technology lists I am on have asked, but I was under the impression
only students on IEP's with verified print disabilities qualified for the free
student memberships that Kenny is interested in.

I always hope and pray more people will "find" BookShare, but especially
students in desperate need of accessible materials. It would be great to find
funding for students of all ages!

  Have a great day!

  Valerie

Hi Kenny. Congratulations on going to college. Way to go! (smile) Yes, you
can keep your existing account. You'll keep your existing account, and it'll
just be converted to a student account as far as payment is concerned. You'll
need to write to membership@xxxxxxxxxxxxx to find out how to start the process.
I hope this helps.
