I downloaded The Best Little Girl In the World yesterday afternoon, and it,
too, still had the BSO in the title.

The book Empire Falls which was re-done I just downloaded a week or so ago,
and I did notice that it still had the BSO in front of the title. I didn't
think much about it at the time. But just to mention as you all are in the
discussion.

I was never given instructions as a validator to remove the bso from a book
title. Perhaps I missunderstood something. I left in the bso figuring it
would be removed when the book was approved.
I seek guidance from bookshare staff here.

It's not a technology issue but carelessness or lack of knowledge on the part of the validators, who should remove the BSO when uploading the book. OR am I misunderstanding what you mean "when put up on the list." Is the BSO still there when the book is added to the collection? Otherwise it doesn't matter.
