I understand a student's need for a book in whatever shape possible. I
have more trouble dealing with a poor scan of a romance say or a light
fiction book. Yes I know this is a judment call on my part. The reality
is that with the newer scanning software, a few minutes of up front work
improves things so much that it is truly something to be encouraged. I
know I have said this before. But it becomes even more important to do
when validators are being asked to get as much out as possible with minimal
time spent on each book.
