Hi, Bud, I'm not sure what your replace looks like if you're using Kurzweill. with Word, here's how to do it, and maybe you can adapt to what you have. In the edit file there's a replace. When you open that, there, in mind there's a Find What space; it might be called something else, like just find or something. Below that is a replace with space. Blacken the heading, spaces between words and letters and all (except leave out the page number if it's there; but don't fret if you get that too. You can always type the page number in later, on a line below) and put it in the Find What space. Leave the replace with space blank. Then hit replace all. Start with the first header of the first page of the story, and when you're asked, if you are, start from the beginning, say no. That you won't delete anyting from the first pages that need to stay. When you come next to a heading that wasn't deleted, it's probably because something is different fromt he one you did delete--usually there are a lot of wrong letters or marks--and just do the same thing. That's if you're using Word. I checked my inbox to see if someone else answered you before I, and I see Monica offered to help if you're using Kurzweill, so if my instructions are no help, hopefully she'll be able to. smile Cindy --- Bud Schwab <budschwab@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > Hi Cindy, > > I guess I need more details.
