The reason I like John's site is that it doesn't include the Nemac books that I can't download anyway, And I can skip the children's books. Rarely will I ever read the children's books, and at times, there are very large numbers of them added, which makes it fast for me to go through. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

I know that many of you really like John's site and even if it has been quite some time now I have checked it out a number of times myself, but, frankly, the newly added list on the Bookshare site seems to me to be more useful. If you want the advantage of the new books being categorized then you can do a category search on Bookshare and order them by most recently added.

Hi all:

I really think this URL needs to be somewhere on the bookshare site;
I've posted the link over and over and it doesn't seem to get archived
by most people on the list; I'm not criticizing, just making a point
*smile* Maybe the complaint about book limits wouldn't come up so
much if the URL were more widely known about. Posting this on the
site would also help volunteers who aren't on the list.

P.S.: I'm not feeling well, so I'm sorry if this E-mail came across in
any way as snappish.

Hi!
Was talking about this on my book list.
Would anyone happen to have the URL for John's site. I have it on my
braille note but for some reason the silly thing won't let me paste it
in an email.
Sorry for the repetition

On John's site, where he has the new books listed, he keeps them
up there,
clear back to January. So if you reach your quota, you can go
back the next
month and get some more.

I am sorry but I have said this once and I will say it again.
I love bookshare but if there was one thing I would change it
would be this.
I know for a fact that I can not read 300 books a month so that
is not the
problem I am having.
The situation is this.
New books are posted up there and I am not complaining as I think
it is
awesome but sometimes in the hundreds per day.
The only way one can keep track so that they can come back to
download books
laterr once the limitatoins are reached and I have had my limit
set to 300
is that you have to keep writing stuff down and coming back to
try and get
it.
I keep saying that there should be a price plan on bookshare that
if people
want to be able to get more books they should have to pay more
per month to
make this happen.
I guess where I don't quite get it is that NLS's site you don't
pay for it
at all the books are tons bigger and there is not one limit
placed on how
many you can get and it is free to all of us who qualify.
I am simply saying let those of us who want more bookshare books
pay more
money to get more books.
What are your thoughts.
Dana
