Gerald et al,
Ok, just downloaded one of the books with evil quotation marks. Here is what
I see. Many of the passages of dialog begin with a dot 3, then the capital
sign, then the first spoken word. Most, if not all of these sequences end
with the last letter of the word, followed by a single empty space, followed
by a period, question mark, etc. then a closing quotation sign of dots
3-5-6. This can cause several very irritating issues:
1. the end punctuation mark and closing quote appear on a separate line from
the rest of the sentence.
2. I'm also seeing what I believe to be the occasional paragraph symbol,
dots 1-2-4-6 followed by dots 1-2-4. This will appear between the last
letter of a sentence and the closing quotes.
Again, this is a book which was converted from .ark to .rtf. So, what does
this mean? Or do we know?
Scott
