Thanks, Mary. I was going to use continue with the Arabic numbering of the pages, but I had also number them as glossy insert 1, glossy insert 2, etc. I think now that that is redundant, so I'll just use the overall page numbering scheme, unless I find textual references to the glossy pages.

Hi Robin,

Your idea is fine. One change though. Unless I've misunderstood what you
said.

Your labeling of the pages is perfect. But please number them as you
usually would as well, following the Arabic numbering of the last page of
the book.

Thanks for being so thorough!

Mayrie

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] glossy insert pages in a book

   Hi,

I've scanned a book that contained 8 glossy page inserts in the middle of
the book. They do not follow the normal pages numbers and are inserted
between pages 298 and 299. My thought is to move them to the end of the
book and number the pages with a bracketed note at the top of each pages
that says [GLOSSY INSERT PAGE 1} and so on. (I should note that the text in
the book refers to these pages as the glossy inserts, so I wanted to use
that same wording.) Would you experienced folks agree with this idea?

Robin
