Dear Carrie, Gerald, Katie, and Everyone,

Carrie, what a great catch! When you buy books like that do you have a laptop
to check if they are in the collection? When I find a very cheap source of
print books, I just search for books that, from my general knowledge, I guess
might not be done yet. When I bring them home, I look them up and donate
whatever is already approved. Then if I find a volunteer to scan any of what's
left, I check again to make sure the book hasn't been added before mailing it
off.
Oh, and I don't just grab anything obscure. I do what I can to judge if it will
be potentially a good read. It's just another form of treasure hunting and book
play I'll enjoy as long as possible.

Grizzard was a great and funny son of Mississippi!

Katie, you are right. It's just that I do my homework and vote, but am not a
leader or organizer. I appreciate the conviction of all of you who help
Bookshare evolve for the better. With my personality, the best I can do is
validate renew my membership, spread the word to attract new subscribers and
read.

I'm not a cook, just a kitchen wench! ahahahahahah...been reading too much
historical fiction!

I'd have spent the whole day with the roses. How beautiful!

Always with love,

Lissi

If I ever see those books, I'll be sure to get them! His titles are just
great. Carrie

The Grizzard books always have the most unusual titles. I think my
favorite of his titles is Shoot Low Sherriff They're Riding Shetlands, but I
also like the title They Tore Out My Heart And Stomped That Sucker Flat

    Hi all,

I stopped by the Palo Alto Library sale today and grabbed 16 Spanish books,
but while I was there, I couldn't resist getting some more books. I tried to
stick to classic authors but failed several times. Here are the 19 English
books I got. If anyone has already started processing any of these, please
tell me and I'll drop them.

The Meaning of the Glorious Koran
The Honorary Consul by Graham Greene
The Horse's Mouth by Joyce Cary (it's a favorite movie of mine)
Turgenev: The Man, His Art and His Age
The Masters by C. P. Snow
The Worldly Philosophers by Robert L. Heilbroner
A Word Child by Iris Murdoch
At Weddings and Wakes by Alice McDermott
Anne Boleyn by Marie Louise Bruce
    Rose's Garden by Carrie Brown
    Flashman by George MacDonald Fraser
Royal Flash by George MacDonald Fraser
Flashman at the Charge by George MacDonald Fraser
Flashman in the Great Game by George MacDonald Fraser
The Blind Man of Seville by Robert Wilson
    Fire Ice by Clive Cussler
    Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard
November of the Heart by LaVyrle Spencer
Chili Dawgs Always Bark at Night by Lewis Grizzard
