Hi Angel,

Let's see if I can give you some quick tips. If you scroll down to your questions, you'll find the answers below. <smiling> Most of us are blind here, Angel, that's why, if you're on here long enough you'll see messages with subject lines like, 'need sighted help'. Just as an FYI, Cindi, Judy and a couple of others fit that bill.

Original message:
Hello Everyone, i am needing help with keystrokes in msWord.
I am using msWord 2007
I have a hp net book
I use the screenreader NVDA
And i am a totaly blind user of volunteering.
And i am new to proofreading books.

An i need help with the following
setting page brakes

Do you mean having NVDA announce them or making a new page?

paragraph layouts

What do you mean here, centering? looking at the layout itself? If you want to center a line, select it and use ctrl-e just like you always did.

takingout all blank lines without having to take them out manualy

the DAISY tool does this for you. You don't need to worry about them.

setting a document in single spaceing

Select the entire document with ctrl-a and then do a ctrl-1 the one on the top row of keys, not the numberpad.

changing the font

That's done in the Home ribbon. First, select the text you want to change in the normal way. Then, go to the home ribbon with your alt key. Tab along till you get to font-size and hit ender, you'll be in a combo box, either write in the font size you want or arrow down to it and press enter.

HTH,
Ann P.
