Hi Kasondra, Sorry, I replied to your thread before I saw the chain of responses. I think we all occasionally stumble on a book whose topics don't interest us, or where the author makes controversial statements with which we disagree. I'm glad you released the book instead of rejecting it. Our role is not to be censors. And history is often open to interpretation. After all, is it not said that history is written by the victors? ----- Original Message ----- From: Kellie Hartmann To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2006 4:27 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: inaccuracy in a history Hi Kasondra, Oh, I wasn't being sarcastic and trying to shoot you down--I meant what I said sincerely. I have released books because I objected to the content for different reasons and didn't feel I could work with the book as a result. I can certainly understand not wanting to be part of spreading inaccuracies by approving a book that contained them, especially dealing with a sensitive subject. I hope your other validations go well, and have fun at convention! Kellie
