[bksvol-discuss] Re: index spills over 2 pages

I have enough vision to see the line showing a break, but now that you mention it, I do not hear the word page break when I move over this line, whereas I do when I move to the next page.

Word shows me as moving to the next page on the status line as, as I said earlier, using the control page down moves me to this as a new page, but the Page Break indication is not there.

If you are suggesting that I change the paper size to say, 8.5 and 14 to accommodate this long page, I can do that.

When arrowing past this page break, do you hear the words page break, or does it say something like page 151? Have you tried changing the paper size? Changing the paper size usually gets rid of soft page breaks. Let me know if you need to know how to do this.

I did use Kurzwell to scan, then I converted it to RTF before beginning to edit the file in MS Word. If I use Control + Page Down in Word to jump from page to page, thsi spill over page does come up.

What software are you using? Most likely this is a soft page break, which doesn't matter. Though, Kurzweil has a setting that splits long pages in rtf files. This needs to be disabled. If it isn't, and you are using Kurzweil, this could be a hard page break.

Hi - I scanned a book last night and included the index. The Index was printed 2 columns on the page. When I move the righthand column under the left one so it will read smoothly for us blind readers, it spills onto a new page. Should I worry about this? Should I even bother keeping the index? It's a short one in a non-fiction Christian book -- not a textbook.
