I read Stranger in a Strange Land the summer before my freshman year in
college. Same summer I partnered with my first guide dog, a shepherd.

Let's get thos huge volumes of mythology tales and religion he did on every culture on bookshare and all his other works for that matter. I read Hero when I was in my mid-teens. Campbell saved my psyche. Just knowing he existed in the world helped me grow up to be who I am. I mean it. It was finding a kindred spirit that did it.
