I just submitted a BSO copy of All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy. In the late 1940's, John Grady Cole leaves his ranch home in Texas after his grandfather dies, and his mother who is involved in the theatre says she is going to sell the ranch. Along with his friend, Rawlins, John Grady Cole travels to Mexico. Along the way, they pick up a sharp-shooting boy, Jimmy Blevins. In breath-taking prose, Cormac McCarthy explores love, loss, death, and the spirit of horses and man. This is the first in McCarthy's Border Trilogy. I added in the comments field... There are many many words in Spanish, all of which have been checked. Also, McCarthy doesn't include apostrophes in his work, so there are words like wont, and dont, for won't and don't, etc. This is the second time I've read this book and it's more lovely now than it was the first time. Enjoy!
