Lissi, that's really up to you. JAWS has some advanced features that allow users to assign specific punctuation marks to certain levels of when they will be spoken and when not, but I don't even know how to use that. Anyway, I doubt that most volunteers have their punctuation turned all the way up so they won't miss a single stray period. You have to balance a high standard of quality with making the process reasonably fun for you. If the em-dashes are making you want to bash your head against the wall, then it's not worth it and you should turn the punctuation down. <grin> If they don't reall bother you too much, you could leave it as is.
