Ok, thanks for the info. I'll remember that for the future.

  Dan,

I took care of it. However, I did nothing that you couldn't have done
yourself. Here's how to handle it in the future.

Check the download pages of each copy. If you can verify that they are
submitted by the same submitter, then just reject all but one copy. I almost
always reject the earlier copies. That way, you minimize the risk of rejecting
a copy that the submitter intentionally uploaded because they noticed a problem
with the original submission, but wasn't considerate enough to reject the
earlier copy with the problem.

Of course, sometimes it's not possible to verify that they have the same
submitter due to the infamous "A Bookshare Volunteer". In that case, I notify
Gustavo since he can see who actually submitted the duplicates. John should
work as well since he should be able to see the actual submitter as well. I
haven't found duplicates submitted by "A Bookshare Volunteer" since before he
was hired, though. Of course, if he can't handle it, he'll pass it on to
Gustavo.

In this case, it was obvious that the submitter had uploaded 2 copies in KES
on 9/29, and a third copy on 10/2 in RTF. The third copy also had an update to
the author field. So, I rejected the first two.

OK, that's how you handle it.

  HTH

  Gerald

  Hi all,

I uploaded the James Herriot book I was validating. Then I went to look for
another book to work on. I noticed that on the list there are 3 entries for
the same book. It is titled "The Essential Jung". Not sure who to contact
about this but maybe someone on this list will know.
